Trimming on Template:c

Hi,

Was there any reason why you enabled trimming of parameters on Template:c? Not that I oppose, I'm just interested in an use-case as I couldn't think of one myself.

P.S. I've protected the page. Don't be discouraged to propose such changes in the future though. The reason for protection is that such widely used pages could be used to easily wreak havoc on the wiki. Also, any edits to widely used templates invalidate a sizeable chunk of html cache, which leads to increased usage of the server. A good idea is to wait until there's a lot of pending changes to such templates and execute them all together.

Without trimming {{c| Hello }} results in  Hello, which doesn't look nice. Type1 and Type2 in the predicate's requirements in cpp/algorithm/mismatch were an example of that. In the Russian version of the page it is still visible. Radix 21:23, 6 August 2013 (PDT)

Hi, Radix.
Apparently, the problem you have stated as

When no output is specified, an empty paragraph is generated instead.

can be (easily) resolved. Please take a look at my "solution". So, we may ask the Admins for updating the {{example}} template. --Space Mission (talk) 06:13, 24 March 2021 (PDT)

Seems alright to me. I don't know how to notify the admins though. (I'd expect that leaving a comment on the talk page is enough.) — Radix (talk) 04:43, 30 March 2021 (PDT)
